The Denver Channel has the story on a large fire that started around midnight in Adams County. As of 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, the fire is continuing to rage along Interstate 270.

The fire has "grown significantly" since it was first reported, according to the South Adams County Fire Department, but drivers are still able to take I-270 at the time of this reporting. Luckily, there have been no injuries thus far, either.

The Poudre Fire Authority reminds us, especially with Memorial Day weekend coming up, that we are in wildfire season, so do not leave your fires unattended, as they have the potential to create brush fires like this one.
