Vintage Motorcycle Show Raises Big Bucks for Soldiers Overseas

Last weekend's 5th Annual Vintage Motorcycle Days in downtown Palisade was a huge hit with motorcycle enthusiasts and spectators, and ultimately raised big money for Operation Interdependence, sending civilian rations to troops overseas. If you didn't attend the event, then take a look at some of the eye candy you missed.

The Vintage Motorcycle Days is an annual event showcasing motorcycles at least 25 years old or older. The event is open to all makes and models.

Categories include best European bike, best Japanese bike, Rat Bike, Best American Bike, and a lot more.

In addition to tons of incredible motorcycle, the event also featured a day filled with live music from the Desert Flyer Band.

A silent auction helped raise thousands of dollars for Operation Interdependence. Funds will be used to ship items like sunscreen, video games, books, activities, and cards and letters to troops overseas.

The Vintage Motorcycle Days is always held in early June in downtown Palisade. If you want to show a bike in next years event, start planning now. It's a tough competition, but all for a great cause.
