Truck N’ Treat 2016 Is Coming
The Fruita Recreation Department’s 10th anniversary of Truck-N-Treat is Saturday, October 29th from 10am to Noon at Civic Center Park. “Truck-N-Treat” is a thing?
Being the new guy in town, I experience a lot of “firsts.” I’ve lived in several communities over the past 20 years and had not heard of a “Truck or Treat”. It’s so unique that when you try and Google “Truck-n-Treat” it tries to correct your spelling to the more familiar “trunk.”
Being a truck owner myself, I loved the idea as soon as I heard about it. What a great idea! The fact the event is celebrating its 10th Anniversary speaks volumes. According to the city: “This community event gives families with young children the opportunity to explore many different types of “trucks” while collecting “treats”. On-site will be fire trucks, police cars, limos, concrete trucks, school buses, semi-trucks, tow trucks, and so much more. All of these awesome vehicles are waiting to be explored!”
Kids, don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume and bring a bucket to collect candy! If you have questions please call Angie at the Fruita Recreation Department at 970-858-0360. Truck-N-Treat rocks! We’ll see you there.
