Threat Prompts Closure of Colorado High School
Elizabeth High School was closed Friday (Feb. 21) after police received a tip regarding a threat to a school shooting.
The tip that stated time and date was picked up by an analyst at the Department of Homeland Security according to the Denver Channel. It is unclear where the tip generated and how the threat was made.
Police and school district officials came to the decision to cancel classes on Friday. A letter was sent to parents around 9 p.m. Thursday night outlining the threat and the decision to put the safety of the students first by canceling classes for Friday, February 21.
