Remembering Allen Unique Auto

If you're new to the valley, you may not be familiar with Allen Unique Autos. It was an extremely cool car museum located on River Road west of Grand Junction. The selection of vehicles was truly spectacular. In addition, the venue hosted a wide variety of events ranging from car shows to holiday parties.

Here's What is Up for Auction

According to the Boots n Lace Facebook page, the following vehicles will be available for purchase:

  • 1966 Austin Mini Moke
  • 1948 Buick Roadmaster
  • 1929 Ford Bar Truck
  • 1988 Armaretta 4-Door
  • 1961 Cadillac limo

Wait a minute... What's an Austin Mini Moke?

Never heard of it. This warrants a little research. Check this out. You need one of these right now. It's hard to understand how any of us have lived this long without one.

Looking at the Boots N Lace official web page, you'll see the following (please note - they used all caps. I'm not yelling at you):

WE ARE PROUD TO BE LIQUIDATING SOME OF TAMMY ALLEN’S CARS AND MEMORABILIA FROM HER COLLECTION. THIS AUCTION HAS UNIQUE ITEMS TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION! THIS IS A VERY CLEAN AUCTION!

The Joys of Having a Liquidation Sale

Not a month ago I hired a company to host an estate sale at my house. Let me tell you, even with the guidance of a professional estate sale company, putting together an event such as this is a colossal pain in the buns. I have tremendous respect for the comment above, "THIS IS A VERY CLEAN AUCTION!" Again, I'm not yelling. They used all caps, not me.

When and Where

The auction is coming up this Saturday, May 15, 2021, beginning at 10 a.m. If you'd enjoy a preview, you can stop by Friday, May 14, from noon until 5 p.m.

The auction will be held at 2224 H Road in Grand Junction.

What Have You Got To Lose... Besides Money?

While they are not my kind of thing, auctions can be fun. The cars listed above make up only a small portion of the items for auction. You'll find everything from furniture, stereos, sewing machines, garden tools, life-sized Superman and Spider-Man figures, and more.

This auction house is not advertising with us, and I'm not affiliated with this event in any way. When I saw Tammy Allen's (Allen Unique Autos) name associated with the event, it caught my attention. Many of us have wondered what became of the vehicles when the museum closed. Now we know. Better yet, we have a chance to acquire some of these items.
