Sidekicked: How Superhero Publishers Are Failing Kids
Comic readers are often annoyed by the outdated assertion, “but comic books are for kids!” As those of us within this culture know, comics today are usually made for and marketed to adults, especially single issues and superhero comics. However, comics, as a medium, should and can serve a vast variety of demographics. Publishers simply need to be ready to create the books that readers will read. Most comic readers can point to some great comics for kids, including Smile, Bone, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and Adventure Time -- but for many parents and young readers, there is a huge void in the comics that exist today. There are very few high-quality, positive, superhero comics for kids.
How ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Will Explain Wonder Woman’s Origin
We really don't know much about how Wonder Woman will fit into the plot of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.' We do know that she's being played by Gal Gadot and that she will, somehow, get some screen time alongside Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. But that's about it ... until now! Thanks to a tiny snippet (caught on Vine, no less) we now know that DC's Amazon warrior will forego her classic origin story in favor of her modern beginning.

Fox News Said Some Incredibly Stupid Bullsh*t About Comics Again [Video]
The great thing about Fox News is that it's only Tuesday and you're already about to see the dumbest thing you'll see all week. In this case, it's a clip from Fox's weekend morning show, where three people with the collective brains of a sack of doorknobs turn their reasoned and well-thought out opinions to the world of comic books. Specifically taking on Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman's upcoming run on Thor, where the iconic Marvel hero will get a new identity as a woman, and complaining about Wonder Woman's costume in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice film by comparing it to Jim Lee's redesign from four years ago that, according to them, appears to be a product of what they characterize as fundamentalist Sharia Law. No, really, this dope on the left actually says that.

What happens in Hall H stays in Hall H ... at least when it comes to 'Batman vs. Superman.' During Comic-Con 2014, fans at the Warner Bros. panel got to see the first 'Batman vs. Superman' teaser trailer, featuring a suited up Ben Affleck with glowing blue eyes glaring at Henry Cavill's hovering Superman, ready to do battle. However, if fans were hoping to see this same footage online shortly after, you're out of luck.

CW Wonder Woman Drama ‘Amazon’ Officially Dead, ‘Flash’ Future Looking Good
It's been a long time since we heard anything from The CW's potential Wonder Woman prequel series 'Amazon,' the length of which has seen 'Arrow' forming its own likely 'Flash' spinoff while Gal Gadot assumes the role of the Amazonian princess in 2015's 'Batman Vs. Superman,' but it seems the CW's incarnation has been officially grounded.
