The San Francisco Giants worked hard to clinch the National League Championship Series on Thursday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Last night was sports insanity at my house. At 6:05pm the St. Louis Cardinals took the field against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Game 5 of their best of 5 series. Just three blocks to the west the Chicago Blackhawks took the ice against the St. Louis Blues and both games where on national television.

With lest than 20 game in the 2013 baseball season to play the best race going is the NL Central. When you look around the National League most of the races are really over. The LA Dodgers have an 11 game lead on Arizona and Atlanta has a 12 game lead over Washington. The NL Central is a three-team race separated by just 1.5 games.
