I absolutely love watching grown men beat the every loving hell out of one another, but I also do not understand one bit why you would want to let a professionally trained bad ass hit you hit the face. Luckily there are a bunch of dudes out there who are willing to do it, and we get to watch. But as of late there have been some pretty brutal injuries. Most recently this dudes nose.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, especially when that book is a harmless looking MMA fan who volunteers to fight you in a sand pit. Also, takedown defense and keeping your hands up are slightly more important than worrying about your hair.

Men and children of all ages (no, not much of a difference there) love wacky videos. And when they involve someone puking their guts out, well, that's a major score.

As if MMA fighters don't have enough to worry about during a fight — fists, elbows, knees and roundhouse kicks from out of nowhere — add Super Glue to the list. During the recent WOCS 25 MMA card in Brazil, fighter Carlos Alberto Lobo had his eyed glued shut by his own corner...

MMA fighting is known for its bone-crunching violence. In an effort to put an exclamation point on that fact, Kiwi star Mark "Super Samoan" Hunt crushed Stefan "Skyscraper" Struve Saturday night in Japan.

Mixed marital arts, or MMA as it’s known, has grown in popularity over the past few years. Except in the fine state of South Dakota. South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard opposes a bill in the state that would regulate sports like MMA. Why? Because he thinks it would “legitimize” the sport. I hate to tell you this governor, but MMA is a legitimate sport.

Mixed martial arts techniques can be difficult to master, but the object of the sport is clear: knock your opponent out. When one combatant is out on the canvas, the fight is over. Perhaps someone should have explained the idea to the ring girl in the video clip above...
