We're just two weeks from Memorial Day and people are starting  to plan what to do during the weekend that marks the unofficial start of summer. What is your favorite activity for the holiday weekend?

Most of us will enjoy a long three-day weekend and one thing to remember is to know when to say when. Memorial Day weekend is a good time to fire up the grill and knock back a few drinks just not too many drinks.

While many of us will enjoy the federal holiday with our families and friends, Remember why it is Memorial Day weekend. Known as the official kick-off to summer this weekend is about so much more.

As Memorial Day opens the gate to summer, we all begin to plan our outdoor activities. Most of us will find a reason to get outside for the long weekend and enjoy food, friends, family and some delicious beverages. And really, it wouldn’t be a summer holiday without some grilling.

It's Memorial Day, a day when the United States as a nation reflects on the military personnel who've lost their lives fighting for their country. What began a Decoration Day after the Civil War to commemorate the soldiers who lost their lives in battle has since been expanded and renamed to address all Americans who have died during military service.

Americans across the country celebrate Memorial Day in honor of those who have died while in the military service.
