Lake Powell is benefiting big time from the Colorado snowmelt.

The feds want western states to cut Colorado River use.

It's a good thing to live in the Grand Valley. We have beauty everywhere and never lack for fun things to do. But, sooner or later, you get the chance to go on vacation. It has been a rain-filled spring for much of the country including Colorado and Utah, where flash flood warnings have not been uncommon.

The lower Colorado River Basin is experiencing a severe drought resulting in Lake Powell's, one of the nation's largest reservoirs, capacity below 45% of normal.
