While many people took to Facebook bragging about how much booze they stockpiled and how Hurricane Sandy wasn't very strong at all, the following heartbreaking scenes were happening in other places. If you've spent time in New York City, you've seen your share of rats. The most common place to spot the unpopular rodents is in the city's subways. Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, many of the subway tunnels are currently flooded, leaving the rats nowhere to go but up. And according to experts, they will have no problem doing so.

The world is keeping a close eye on the East Coast today as Hurricane Sandy's destruction has wreaked havoc with its high winds, torrential rain, and potential for even more trouble as the storm heads inland. Many across the nation are sending their positive thoughts to those dealing with the storm and its aftermath, including a number of rockers.

This morning, much of the East Coast is picking up the pieces after the massive storm known as Hurricane Sandy swept through, leaving millions without power, causing untold economic damage, and killing at least 21 people. Flooding caused largely by enormous, unprecedented storm surges has crippled transportation routes and wreaked havoc on low-lying areas.

As predicted, Hurricane Sandy created one crazy night. Millions without power, explosions, flooding and at least 18 people dead.
