Avengers 2 doesn't open for another few weeks, but deep inside Marvel headquarters they've already begun turning their attention to the next big movie: Captain America: Civil War. Frequently referred to as Avengers 2.5 because of the sheer amount of superheroes packed into this one film — Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Hawkeye are all confirmed to star — the third Captain America movie might be the biggest superhero film yet. As Marvel gets ready to begin filming, a casting call has given us our first look at the film's plot.

There are lots of ways to express your dedication to a particular film or character: you can write about it, you can post GIFs on Tumblr, you can get a tattoo or wear officially licensed merchandise, or you can get really into cosplay. The choice is yours. But for one fan of ‘Captain America,’ these things were simply not enough. In order to better emulate his favorite Marvel villain, one fan has gone so far as to have a large portion of his own nose removed. Yikes.

One of the reasons why we love Marvel’s Cinematic Universe so much is that all of the heroes and films operate in a shared universe, allowing for cameos and crossovers and storylines that affect and acknowledge other films and events. But Marvel’s superhero films haven’t exactly been presented in chronological order, so if you’re struggling to unravel the timeline for Marvel’s movies, don’t worry: someone already edited the first phase of films together in chronological order, and he’ll show you how to do it yourself.

The Avengers were out in force last night during Marvel's eye-popping Comic-Con panel, and despite plenty of mirth and goodwill on the packed panel itself, the footage shown to the crowd hinted at a much darker story to come in Joss Whedon's 'Avengers 2.'

The world of Marvel comics is going through some major changes. While Wednesday saw the announcement of a female Thor taking up Mjolnir for a new comic books series, now Captain America, Steve Rogers, has been forced into early retirement.
