The seventh season finale of Archer left it … unclear how the series would proceed with its title character, even if a three-season renewal guaranteed it. Now, all is revealed, as a complete and total reset of the series will give Archer a dreamy new setting in Season 8.

By now we've seen 'The Simpsons' tackling a number of pop-culture funhouse mirrors of themselves, from the recent 'Family Guy' crossover to last season's LEGO installment, and this year's "Treehouse of Horror" is no different. We were a bit surprised to have FX renew 'Archer' for a sixth and seventh season simultaneously, but moreover curious to see if the sixth would continue the 'Vice' shakeup still in play for season 5. A new poster for 'Archer' season 5 has emerged with a mock subtitle, which may reveal a new direction for Sterling Archer and the gang to head in: Vice!

While the 'Archer' remake of 'Top Gun' proved but an appetizer to the main course that was the New York Comic-Con panel, Pam Poovey will always be the icing on top. Yet another teaser trailer for 'Archer''s big season 5 shakeup has arrived, this time with fan-favorite characters Poovey and Doctor Krieger leading the charge.

Given the success of FX's animated spy comedy 'Archer,' now airing its fourth season with its best ratings to date, the Adam Reed-produced series wasn't exactly in the "danger zone" before.
