One of my new favorite activities this year has been hiking, it started as a way of getting exercise outside of the gym. While I enjoy going to the gym, it's nice to be able to see beautiful views while you're wearing yourself out. And going into this past weekend I knew we would be looking at snowfall on Sunday but Saturday looked great with sunshine into the 70s so I wanted to get a hike in. While I should have done more research into my hike before deciding that was going to be my adventure but it was gorgeous.

Already this year I have done Devil's Kitchen within the Colorado National Monument which was stunning and an easy hike. Palisade Rim Trail was a bit more challenging and longer than Devil's Kitchen. If you really want to challenge yourself with a hike around Grand Junction, go after Mount Garfield, which was the most challenging hike I did this year and I sure felt it the day after the hike.

But the new hike that I did this weekend was the Liberty Cap Trail. It was really simple to find as I put the location into GPS and it connects immediately, although there isn't a ton of parking so try to be respectful of others trying to use the trail.

During my hike, I decided to walk around and try to take lots of beautiful photos as I knew this would probably be my last hike for a while. Here are some of the shots I got this past weekend on my hike.
