Stuff the Bus Campaign Raises Nearly $3000 Cash + School Supplies
The annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive has wrapped up and the results are amazing.
With so many questions concerning the economy and what the upcoming school year looks like, we wondered if we should even do Stuff the Bus this year. However, everyone involved felt strongly about doing what we can to provide school supplies for kids in Mesa County. There's no way we could step back and just do nothing.
Again this year, we put the Student Transporation of America bus inside Mesa Mall and we teamed up with some great partners like Community Hospital and Sooper Credit Union. We didn't really know what to expect, but the result was tremendous.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to change things up a bit in the way we conducted the campaign. In the interest of public health and safety, the focus this year was more on monetary contributions rather than the typical physical donations, though we welcomed and received both. The result was nearly $3000 in donations for school supplies that are being distributed to area schools for kids who don't have the supplies they need for school.
In addition to our sponsoring partners, we want to thank the community and every person who was able to make a donation to the Stuff the Bus campaign. Without the generosity of this community, the mission would fail. Through the efforts of many, we are able to make a huge difference and have a positive impact on the 2020-2021 school year.
