Everyone knows Colorado is home to countless fantastic ski resorts — but one ski area is so outstanding that it now holds the title of Best in North America.

So, which one is it? The answer is Steamboat Ski Resort, which received the honor of Best Overall Ski Resort at OnTheSnow.com's recent Visitors' Choice Awards.

OnTheSnow.com specializes in providing reports to skiers and snowboarders all over the world. According to a press release from the website, OnTheSnow.com's users rated Steamboat higher than any other Northern American ski resort.

"Steamboat is known for delivering an industry-leading experience, from our passionate staff to our incredible on-mountain amenities and terrain offerings; it's what sets us apart," said Rob Perlman, President and Chief Operating Officer for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, in the release. "This award is a true testament of how the Steamboat Way guides our team in everything we do."

Although Steamboat took home the top honor at the awards, other Colorado ski resorts weren't left without accolades.

OnTheSnow.com presented Telluride Ski Resort with the Best All-Mountain Terrain award for its "challenging chutes, bowls, steeps, bumps, and wide-open groomers."

Breckenridge took home the Best Après-Ski title, while Keystone received Best Terrain Park. Southwestern Colorado's Silverton Mountain Ski Area nabbed the honor of Best Small Ski Area for its expert-exclusive terrain.
