Vail closes out the season with a huge 4-day festival!

Get set to send an epic ski season out in style. Vail plans to keep their ruins open until Sunday, April 21st but celebrates "Spring Back To Vail" this weekend. The party starts today (Thursday) and continues through Sunday, April 14th.

This annual event welcomes spring back to the mountains with free concerts at Ford Park, season-ending ski specials, late-night parties, special happenings in the festival village, and much more. This year's Friday evening headliner is Gov't Mule. The band was founded back in 1995 as a side project by Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Hayes and bassist Allen Woody. The bands celebrating 25 years of making music with a spring tour across the US and Europe.

 

The 'Spring back To Vail' celebration wraps up Sunday afternoon with the World Pond Skimming Championship! Participants ski or snowboard down the slope and off a jump in the hopes of skimming across a pool of water in style!
