Slipknot are digging a little deeper into their .5: The Gray Chapter album this week as the band has just unveiled the video for their latest single, "XIX."

Though the slow-burning song was one of the preview tracks last October ahead of the new album release, the band is just getting around to releasing a video for the song. As you can see in the Shawn Crahan-directed clip, a pair of women drive out into the woods in a hearse to pick up the casket. They not only grieve over the casket, but bare their bodies as well as they eventually send the casket out into the cleansing waters while lit on fire like a Viking funeral. Check out the intensely moving, but not suitable for work video in the player provided above.

"XIX" follows on the heels of the previous singles "The Negative One," "The Devil in I," "Custer" and "Killpop" off the .5: The Gray Chapter album. As has been well documented, the band wrote their latest album inspired by the death of bassist Paul Gray. Singer Corey Taylor told Full Metal Jackie, "I don't wish [this] on anybody. But when you have something like Slipknot and you all kind of have to take a look at it and be like do we still want to do this and we still want to do this a certain way. It's hard. A) you're dealing with the loss of your brother and B) you're parting ways with someone who was a huge part of this band. And it's like how do you fill in the blanks and at the same time tell the story of the loss of that person." .5: The Gray Chapter is currently available via Amazon and iTunes.

The band is on a bit of a break at the moment, but will resume touring later this month. They kick off a series of North American dates Oct. 13 in Bismarck, N.D., leading up to their Knotfest weekend Oct. 24 and 25 in San Bernardino, Calif. Aside from a one-off Knotfest appearance in Mexico, the rest of the year's touring is blank, but they'll be back in Europe early next year. Catch Slipknot on tour at these locations.
