Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris has announced a sudden leave from the band's current European tour due to health issues concerning his wife, Alexandria Finley, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer earlier this year. Toque guitarist Cory Churko will fill his spot for the remainder of the dates, as Sidoris revealed via social media Sunday (June 23).

In the statement, the guitarist promised to return in time for the band's upcoming North American tour, due to kick off July 15 in San Francisco. However, beginning with the Slash June 25 gig at southern Luxembourg's Rockhal, Sidoris will be absent from the rest of the overseas run. Read his message down toward the bottom of this post.

"Tonight was my last show of the European tour as I am headed back to the U.S. to be with my wife @alexandriafinley for her first full-on chemotherapy treatment," Sidoris said. "Our good friend @corychurko will be filling in for me for the remainder of this European run and I can't thank him enough. I will rejoin for the U.S./Canada tour, see you then!"

A GoFundMe page was launched to help cover the costs of Finely's cancer treatments. In March, Sidoris reported that "in only two days we've reached $36,583 for Allie's campaign" out of the listed $65,000 goal.

Last year's Living the Dream — Slash's fourth overall solo effort and third from the Guns N' Roses guitarist alongside Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators — contained the singles "Boulevard of Broken Hearts," "My Antidote," "Mind Your Manners" and "Driving Rain."
