Primus + Puscifer Drummer Tim Alexander Undergoes Successful Open Heart Surgery
There's good news to report as Primus and Puscifer drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander is out of surgery and reportedly doing well following an open heart procedure earlier today (July 21).
It was reported over the weekend that Alexander had suffered a heart attack and was scheduled to have open heart surgery early this week to have a blockage removed.
Primus was the first to alert fans on Alexander's status, with a Facebook posting that can be read below:
Tim Alexander Is Out of Surgery. The Mighty Tim "Herb" Alexander has pulled through surgery, the blockage from his heart has been removed with no complications and all signs point to a glorious and speedy recovery.
Alexander has enjoyed three stints as the drummer for Primus, playing on their most popular albums, and has appeared on two Puscifer studio albums and one EP.
Our best wishes to Tim Alexander for a speedy recovery.
