The Colorado State University Rams football team finally opened its 2020 season on Thursday (Oct. 29).

CSU fell 38-17 to Fresno State in the debut of new Rams coach Steve Addazio.

Marcus McElroy and Trey McBride scored touchdowns for the Rams.

Temple transfer Todd Centeio got the start at quarterback. He went 10 of 13 for 141 yards. Centeio was also the Rams' leading rusher, gaining 89 yards on 12 carries.

Patrick O'Brien, a starter at quarterback last season, also played and went 7 of 10 for 82 yards and the passing touchdown to McBride.

CSU next hosts rival Wyoming at 7 p.m. on Thursdayin the annual Border War game. All Rams games can be heard live on Power 102.9, home of the Rams.
