Have you heard the ghost stories surrounding the Grand Junction Elks Lodge building? A group of volunteer paranormal investigators is asking the public to join them for a tour of the building, with proceeds going towards a fundraiser.

Western Slope Paranormal has teamed up with Western Colorado's Justice League of Hope to raise holiday funds for local kids. It's not too late to get on board with this event.

A Grand Junction Landmark

If you've spent any time at all in Grand Junction, you've probably heard about Elks Lodge #575. The building is well over 100 years old, having been built in 1913.

There's been talk of several haunted areas throughout the building. Some involve the rumored tunnels leading underground to the St. Regis Hotel. One of our past crew members toured the basement of the Elks Lodge a few years ago and confirmed there are indeed tunnels leading underground.

Stories of Strange Happenings at the Grand Junction Elks Lodge

For years people have mentioned the bar where workers claim the "spinning drum" will spin all by itself.

Upstairs you'll find a room resembling a meeting hall. Rumor has it there was a gathering for the 11 p.m. toast when the piano keys began to tinkle all by themselves.

Tour These Sites for Yourself

Western Slope Paranormal shared this on their Facebook page:

Justice League of Hope is an organization that helps bring happiness to children that need a little boost. Western Slope Paranormal and the Elks Lodge are combining forces to raise funds for the upcoming Holidays. 70 people are invited to participate in investigating 7 rooms of this haunted building.

Be a Part of This Awesome Event

While not really into the paranormal, I'm intrigued by this. I've played the Elks Lodge since 1989, and to date, have never witnessed anything bizarre. Then again, I've heard stories for years. It's a large building, with tons of "secret" rooms.

Western Slope Paranormal will guide 70 people through this tour. According to a recent post on their site, 30 people have already booked reservations.

The event is coming up Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 8 p.m. When it's all said and done you'll not only experience a unique evening, you'll help area superheroes provide a happy holiday season for local kids in need.

Perfect October Event

This may be just what the doctor ordered. Imagine touring a 100-plus-year-old building with an infamous history of paranormal occurrences. I don't know about you, but from my perspective, the last two years have been somewhat uneventful. This may be just what's needed to jumpstart our imaginations.
