If you are a fan of mixed martial arts (MMA) you live to see brutal fights and knockouts, but you also hope and pray that no one gets seriously injured. Colorado MMA fans got treated to one of the most impressive knockouts ever on Saturday at the Grizzly Rose, but held their collective breath's as one competitor laid motionless in the cage. We have the video...

Sparta Combat League is this regions premier fighting organization with fights all over Colorado and the region about once a month. This last Saturday Sparta was featured in front of a packed house at the Grizzly Rose in Denver.

It was the co-main event of the afternoon when Brian Scraper entered the cage to take on Willie Smalls in a professional Muay Thai bout. I happen to be the ring announcer for Sparta Combat League, and I had barely got back to my seat after introducing the fighters when 23 seconds into the fight Scraper landed the most brutal head kick I have ever seen...

Willie Smalls laid on the mat for at least 10 minutes before opening his eyes, but eventually came to and was able to walk under his own power out of the cage.

Wow... And that about sums up that!

P.S. Don't forget Sparta Combat League brings their show and best fighters to Northern Colorado and the Budweiser Events Center Saturday, April 26th for the biggest MMA event in Northern Colorado history. Get tickets and details here.
