This weekend during the NHL All-Star event we will get our first look at a new partnership between GoPro and the NHL. This marks the first time that a pro-sport will have their players wearing the GoPro during a live game.

This will give the viewer and much different perspective of the game especially if they have never played. I for one can't wait to see how this will shape the broadcast of the game.

For years networks have tried to bring the game to viewers in different ways. They have added more cameras, put some dumb highlight around the puck, which I hated, there are cameras in the goal and above the ice.

Adding a GoPro to the players will change the way we see the game on TV but I do have one question? Is this camera tough enough to handle real game action? I guess only time will tell.
