Museums Of The West Now Free For Military
This summer active military families are in free.
The Museums of the West want to show how much they appreciate the great men and women that serve this country. Now, through Labor Day all military families get free admission at all three sites. The special deal is good at Museum of the West in Downtown Grand Junction, Cross Orchards Historic Site, and the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita. Speaking of, bring the family out for this Saturday's "Dinosaur Day." It's a fun day of kid-friendly activities, bounce houses, face painting, and more!
"This is a chance for us to say 'thank you' to active duty personnel and also let them know a little bit about the heritage of the community, ancient history and paleontology, and more recent historical heritage of what they worked to save", says Peter Booth the Executive Director for Museums of the West.
All military branches can take advantage of the special. Show your military ID and up to five family members can all get in for free!
