Mesa County Now Under A No Burn Advisory

Mesa County officials have put a No Burn Advisory in effect as of 1:30 p.m. April 1st. With the dry and windy conditions much of Southwestern Colorado is in a 'Red Flag' warning and that might not change for awhile.

After tonight there is no rain in the forecast for the next seven days which mean the already dry brush will only get dryer. I know it sucks but the last, thing we need in the valley is a wildfire.

That also mean we need to be careful with our BBQ pits and fire pits in the backyard. It doesn't take much of an amber to kick off a fire. That doesn't mean we can't BBQ but a little, extra caution could avoid that disaster.
