20 years after entering the NFL, Manning in the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.

With Manning at QB, the Broncs went 13-3, 13-3, 12-4 and 12-4. It's the best four-year stretch in franchise history. During that run they appeared in two Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif. That's pretty impressive.

I always like Manning. He seems a likable, straight-up, talented, and hard-working guy. Don't get me wrong, I am, and will always be, a fan of my hometown Kansas City Chiefs but I've nothing but respect for Manning. I had the privilege to see him play in person a few times. Once in the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs. It was the famous "no punt" game at Arrowhead while he was still with The Colts. In that 2004 playoff game, Manning threw for 304 yards and 3 TD's as The Colts beat The Chiefs 38-31.

Now, 20 years later to the day after Manning was picked first by The Colts in the 1998 NFL Draft, he is inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years,’’ Manning said. “I always wanted to play for the same team that drafted me. I think that’s every player’s goal but things change and business things happen and I had a chance to go play somewhere else and I couldn’t have picked a better place to come and play. I always liked Denver. It’s why we still live here. Three seasons later my family, Ashley and kids, we’re still here. It’s one of the best decisions I ever made and it’s a great honor to be going into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.’’

Way to go Peyton! One of the true "good guys" in NFL history. Congrats and all the best to one of the best to ever play the game!
