King of Pop Gets Extreme Metal Makeover

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, has gotten a metal make over. A few metal guys have gotten together and produced ‘Thriller-A Metal Tribute to Michael Jackson’. I know what you are thinking, why would a bunch of metal heads pay tribute to the King of Pop? Well, Jackson was a huge star and some of his music was rock in nature, plus the name Jackson still sells.

I will say as a rule I don’t care for tribute albums very much. Most of the time the people who do them just try to recreate the same song, the same way and I don’t get that. You should make it your own and put your spin on it. That is just what has happened here. These metal lords knew they where not going to sound like Jackson so they did the song they way they would do them.

Will they win a Grammy? No, I don’t think so but if you have a metal head on the holiday gift list it could be a nice stocking stuffer.
