Jimi Hendrix Comes to Grand Junction Music Store – Kind Of

No, were sorry to say that isn't Jimi Hendrix in the photo. It is, however the next best thing. Local music retailer Jan Hart, owner of J.B. Hart Music on Main Street in Grand Junction, welcomed Jimi Hendrix's 1968 Goya Rangemaster hollow body guitar to the shop today.

Hendrix can be seen playing this guitar in the  "Jimi Hendrix Electric Gypsy" book by Shapiro & Glebeek.  

Jan Hart explained how the guitar came to be in his store. "We have a friend that's a big guitar collector, and he obtained it, and it's actually on its way to Phoenix right now, I was just holding it" Hart said. "It is the real deal. He's (friend) only had it one day. Somebody called him with a huge offer already on it," he added.
