Colorado will spring forward at 2 a.m. on the morning of March 9th. That's the second Sunday of the month. For those who plan spring around the time change and Easter Sunday, the time change is March 9th, and Easter falls on April 20th.

You can fight off the fatigue of time change week with a few proactive tips as we countdown to March 9th.  Keep your schedule light and you won’t feel bogged down with tasks while you're adjusting to less sleep. The more time you can spend in natural sunlight the faster you can retrain your internal clock.

Springing forward in Grand Junction means soon after March 9th, you’ll be able to enjoy more outdoor hours. More daylight means you can start those early morning walks with your dog along the Riverwalk or at the Colorado National Monument.

Will This Be Colorado's Last Time Change?

In years past, President Trump has commented about phasing out the time change saying, "Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation."

Congress has also been critical of Daylight Saving Time. In 2022, Senator Ed Markey's 'Sunshine Protection Act' tried to make Daylight Standard Time permanent. It will be interesting to see if this subject comes up again in 2025.
