Pedestrian To-Do List in Colorado

As a pedestrian, we can take action to help improve our safety as we travel on foot or by bike here in Grand Junction.

  • Remember to only cross streets in designated crosswalks
  • Try to look a driver in the eye before you cross in front of their vehicle to make sure they see you.
  • Headphones and smartphones can distract someone on foot or a bike just as much as someone driving a car. Make sure your attention is where it needs to be when approaching a busy intersection or traveling in a low-speed zone.
