Montrose residents are worried about what’s been happening on residential streets near the High School this fall, and they are suggesting it's time to bring back permit-only parking.

During an October 6 Montrose City Council meeting, an old question resurfaced. How can a school accommodate students who drive while protecting nearby residents? Neighbors near Montrose High School voiced concerns to the city council in October, complaining about school-day activity. KVNF’s regional newscast reported the complaints included speeding, stop-sign violations, litter, and trespassing. Mayor Michael Badagliacco said the city would look into the complaints. For now, the complaints are residents' allegations, and not independently established.
