Who Makes Western Colorado’s Largest Pizza?
As someone who was born in the land of deep-dish pizza (Chicago, Illinois), I’m always keeping an eye out for new pizza deals here in the Grand Valley. One thing that always interests me is who serves the largest pizza in Grand Junction.
In Colorado, a 14-inch pizza is considered large, and a 16-inch pizza is generally considered extra-large. Is there a pizza kitchen in Grand Junction going beyond extra-large? Oh yes, there is. Keep scrolling to check out the top five largest pizzas in the Grand Valley.

Grand Junction's Longest-Running Pizza Spot
Grand Junction loves hanging out at Junct’n Square Pizza. Located near the heart of downtown, sitting down inside for pizza is about as Grand Junction as it gets. Junct’n Square has been at 119 N 7th since 1977. It’s as old as I am.
After half a century, it’s the cornerstone of the local pizza scene. They do a great Detroit-style deep dish pizza (with square slices), and if you tell them your favorite toppings, they will load you up. If you are looking for an authentic local eatery, you gotta stop here at least once.
Grand Junction's Most Exotic Pizza Creations
Smokin’ Oak Wood‑Fired Pizza & Taproom at 2478 Hwy 6 & 50 can fit 113 hungry mouths inside, and 47 more out on the patio. This puts their dining capacity at 160 seats, one of the largest dining areas of any pizza restaurant in GJ. Non-traditional pizza sauces are on the menu. Dig in with buffalo, BBQ, or Alfredo sauce on your pizza. Load it up with goat, Gouda, or even blue cheese to push those pizza boundaries.
