Voter Turnout in Western Colorado

In Mesa County, 45% of the 111,166 eligible voters participated. Last year, nearly 65% of Mesa County voters participated in the Primary Election.

In Delta County, 47% of the 23,340 eligible voters showed up to vote, down from nearly 70% in 2022.

Local Races and Issues in Mesa County

• In the race for Mesa County Valley School District 51 - Director District A, Jose Luis Chavez, won 42% of the vote.
• Barbara Evanson was ahead at the end of the night in the race for Mesa County Valley School District 51 Director B with 51% of the vote.
• Plateau Valley School District 50 Director Districts A, C, and E were uncontested races.

Mesa County voted NO on several ballot questions for extending terms for the position of Assessor of Mesa County, Clerk and Recorder, Surveyor of Mesa County, and County Treasurer.

The city of Grand Junction voted No on Ballot Question 2A with 57% of voters opposed. The City of Grand Junction Ballot Question 2B appears to have passed with 50% of voters in favor.

Local Races and Issues in Delta County

In Delta County, the race for Delta County School District 50J Board of Education Director (Districts 2 and 3) ran unopposed for both Tony Bohling and Bethany Suppes. Dan Burke is the winner of the race for Delta County School District 50J Board of Education Director for District 4.

Proposition HH failed to pass in Delta County with 69% of voters opposed, Proposition II passed with 52% of voters in favor
