Out of All Of Colorado’s Beers, Why Was This One Singled Out For Big List?
There are about 400 craft breweries across Colorado, with many different kinds of beers. You might be surprised to see which one made it to this exclusive list.
They looked at finding, if you were traveling across the country, the one beer from every state that you should bring home; whether for enjoying on your own couch or to share with friends.
I think many would say that they disagree with the findings.
A Colorado Sour Beer Deemed the One Beer People Should Buy
The gang at VinePair.com, who provide content revolving around wines, beers, and cocktails, dug into information curated from fame, availability, and crowd-sourced testimonies, to determine each state's "one beer."
The researched determined that folks should take home a sour from Colorado. Just writing that makes me uncomfortable; "a sour beer?" Really?
The beer is from Crooked Stave. It's not one of their "flagship" beers, either; it's from their "Cellar Series," it's the 'Nightmare on Brett.' It's a dark sour that they age in whiskey barrels. Having never been a fan of any sours, I think it sounds "not tasty."

So, apparently, this beer is widely known, and widely available (which seems "iffy" if the beer is from their 'Cellar Series,') and gets rave reviews online.
I can see that if you are a fan of sours, a Brett would stand out, so I will give Stave the benefit of the doubt.
