Country music fans in Colorado number in the hundreds of thousands; many of those fans knew and loved Chris LeDoux. His son, Ned (himself a Country singer) will honor his father at a special show in Cheyenne.

Where Will Ned LeDoux be Performing a Special Chris LeDoux Tribute Show?

When you consider how many fans there are of Chris LeDoux's music, the fact that Ned LeDoux is bringing this special show just 45 minutes north of Fort Collins is a treat for those of us in Northern Colorado. This concert will be July 24, 2026 at The Lincoln in Cheyenne.

Ned Ledoux Puts Special 'Chris LeDoux Only Nights' on Tour Schedule

On just a very few select dates of his 2026 tour, Ned LeDoux is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Chris LeDoux's PRCA Bareback Riding Championship in 1976, calling them "The Bareback Jack Tribute" shows.

This night ($25 at The Lincoln) will consist solely of songs that his dad sang; the Cheyenne show will be happening during the 130th Cheyenne Frontier Days, which is perfect.

I was an on-air disc jockey on K99 for many years, in the late 1990s and early-mid 2000s; back then, we played a lot of Chris LeDoux. I was a fan before getting into Country radio; my brother introduced me to his stuff back in the late 80s. "Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy?" (with Garth Brooks) is still one of my go-to karaoke songs. I suspect there will be a a lot of folks singing along when Ned performs these tunes.

With each season, the bands come mostly from the folk and Americana genres, but that doesn't mean that you won't see a slightly edgy band or a Celtic band on one of the Tuesdays.
