Here’s Why I’ll Definitely Be Back to this Mexican Restaurant in Fort Collins
There's a Mexican restaurant in Fort Collins that has been around since 2010, owned and operated by folks from Jalisco, Mexico. They probably get a lot of folks visiting Colorado, as they're out by the interstate, but locals love them very much, as well. I wouldn't be surprised, however, to find that not many people know of the restaurant.

We were having a potluck here at the radio station, and someone was having a birthday soon and wanted to go to The Waffle House. Another staffer brought up how much she loved "that Mexican restaurant that's by Waffle House in Fort Collins." She couldn't remember the name of if, but the thought of doing a story about a great Mexican restaurant by a Waffle House sounded fun.

Soon after, I went to find that restaurant; I didn't want Google Maps to spoil it for me, so I just drover over to Denny's off of Mulberry and I-25 in Fort Collins. There it was: Hacienda Real. I'd driven down Mulberry often enough since 2010; I was surprised that I'd never noticed it, before. The restaurant is big, too; hard to believe it hadn't caught my eye.

The owners/operators of Hacienda Real are from Jalisco, Mexico, so the restaurant is decorated as authentically as is the food they prepare. I ordered their Mexican Stir Fry. It was a huge serving and was delicious; it paired well with the Bud Light that I'd ordered. The service was excellent, and the food came out quick; I was very pleased. I got an extra surprise when the tab came: The bottle of Bud Light was only $3.50. It wasn't Happy Hour, it was 7:30; $3.50 was an incredible price for a bottle of beer.
Great food, super prices on beer? I'll be back, for sure.
