One of the biggest names in rock 'n roll has a Colorado concert planned at one of the state's greatest venues. The one and only David Lee Roth will be playing about 70 miles west of Denver in July.

Where is David Lee Roth Playing in Colorado in the Summer of 2026?

If you've never seen a show at Dillon Amphitheater, seeing David Lee Roth as your first concert there wouldn't be a bad idea. It's a smaller venue (3,656 seats) right by Lake Dillon; it first opened in 1993 but went through a near $10 million renovation in 2017 to bring in national touring acts.

When is David Lee Roth Going to be in Colorado in 2026?

On Thursday, July 23, 2026 David Lee Roth will make his first appearance at Dillon Amphitheater on his latest tour, after coming out of retirement in 2025. Tickets are about $82 (All General Admission seating.) 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Roth's first solo tour - the "Eat 'Em and Smile" tour in 1986, when the rocker was only about 32.

My first concert at Dillon Amphitheater wasn't until 2021, when a buddy and I went to see Melissa Etheridge there. It was a great show, with great sound and great views. Seeing a show there is a great way to check out the entire town; it has a great mountain vibe, with great restaurants and things to do.

My first David Lee Roth show was when a bunch of us came up from Loveland to Denver for his "Skysraper" tour in 1988. He played the big venue at the time, McNichols Arena, with Poison as the opening act. Roth flew over the audience on wires, like in music videos we'd seen on MTV. We had a blast: seeing him again, nearly 40 years after that, would be interesting.
