If you're thinking of moving to a different house, yes, the floor plan is important. Of course, the size of the yard should factor in. Good school district? A must. But what you really need to be looking for is a nice neighborhood pool.

Of course, you shouldn't base your entire decision on something as trivial as a swimming pool, but take it from me: especially if you have kids, it matters.

So let's take a look at some pretty incredible neighborhood pools because I was poor growing up and we just swam in an irrigation ditch.

Timnath Ranch Community Pool

Located in Timnath, this place is awesome. Factor in a giant slide, plenty of space to float around, and a dedicated area for smaller swimmers, this place checks all of the boxes.

Also, bonus points for having a killer snack bar and on-site playground. Your kid will be in heaven all summer long.

Collindale Pool in Fort Collins

A classic pool in Fort Collins with a designated swim team and private swim lessons, this place is perfect for beginners all the way up to expert swimmers.

Don't live in the neighborhood? Outsiders are welcome, but it's dependent on capacity that day.

Hillside Pool in Greeley

Located in beautiful Greeley, the Hillside Pool is a long-time member-owned pool complete with a dive well and swim lessons. Another special feature is the number of family-friendly events hosted at Hillside Pool.

Hillside is a classic cool location loved by the young and old.

Once again, I realize a swimming pool isn't the main reason you should move to a different neighborhood, but it's always worth a look.
