Honey Boo Boo Hospitalized After Scary Denver Accident

A startling situation out of Denver for one reality star lead to a hospital visit.

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson became a celebrity practically overnight when she was just six years old. She got her start on the hit TLC show 'Toddlers & Tiaras.'

This young beauty queen captured America's attention with her wild antics and her infamous "go go juice."

Thompson's virality helped her and her entire family their own spinoff show called 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.'

From Reality TV Star to College Student

Now, Honey Boo Boo is a twenty year old college student residing in Denver. Thompson is attending Regis University to study nursing, according to ET.

The majority of her family lives in Georgia, so the move to the Centennial State was a massive deal.

Moving states away from family for school or work can be tough. Our loved ones just want to make sure we're safe and happy, right?

Well, the former reality star just had an experience that is every parent's worst nightmare.

Honey Boo Boo Injured in Denver Car Accident

Thompson's mom, affectionately called Mama June, shared a video on Instagram the other day confirming that her daughter got into an accident at school.

"She is resting. It could’ve been a lot worse than it was. She is banged up a little bit but other than that she is OK..."

According to Mama June, Alana was T-boned after backing out of her driveway in Denver on Friday, September 26th.

The other driver was a 23-year-old man. He admitted that he was at fault AND that he was going 40 MPH, according to reports. Thompson was taken to the hospital with back pain and headaches, but is now resting at home.

"It could have been a lot worse," Mama June said on social media.
