Denver Airport Has One of America’s Longest Walks
I feel like Denver International Airport is a polarizing place. People either love or hate the airport; there is no "it's okay" when the topic gets brought up. I happen to really enjoy our airport for many reasons.
Why I Actually Like Denver International Airport
I love how open it is in the main terminal. I like taking the train and seeing the propellers in the tunnels, and I also don't mind walking throughout the airport. Now, some people really dislike the idea of having to walk all the way to their departing gate, and I get it. It is quite brutal coming back from a vacation where all you did was walk, only to walk even further to claim your back and get to your vehicle to go home.

DIA Has More Than 140 Gates
Denver International Airport is the second largest airport in the world behind King Fahd International Airport in Saudi Arabia, and the largest airport in the United States. Covering over 33,500 acres of land, the three main terminals are obviously going to be huge.
With 143 gates at Denver International Airport, many dread the idea of being at the very last gate at one of these three terminals. Why? Because you are going to have to walk all that way. Even if you are right off the airport train, you are still in for a trek.
