In Flames will be releasing a live DVD, Sounds From the Heart of Gothenberg, on Sept. 23 through Nuclear Blast. Comprised of 20 career-spanning tracks, the footage was culled from their Nov. 8, 2014 performance at the Scandinavium in the band's hometown of Gothenberg, Sweden.

The band's sound has shifted throughout the quarter century since their inception in 1990, initially starting off as a death metal outfit with melodic tendencies. In Flames kicked up the melody in the ensuing years, eventually incorporating groove into their sound with a heavier emphasis on clean vocals, which alternate with harsh growls and shrieks.

Fans can expect to hear cuts like "Through Oblivion," "With Eyes Wide Open" and "Rusted Nail" off 2014's Siren Charms. Turn of the millennium tracks like "Trigger" and "Cloud Connected" will also be featured on the DVD as well as Come Clarity opener "Take This Life" performed as the set closer.

Commenting on the setlist, guitarist Björn Gelotte stated, "This DVD is for everyone who was been following our career; we have songs from the early years, the middle years and the new era. It has to be fun for us to play but also fun for the audience to watch and we try to get a good flow with nice dynamics and different songs." A 'Making Of' trailer can be seen below as well for a taste of In Flames' stage setup and the raucous hometown crowd.

In November of last year, longtime drummer Daniel Svensson left the band after sitting behind the kit since 1998. The stickman made his debut the following year on Colony, performing on eight albums during his tenure. Releasing a statement detailing the reasons for his exit, he said, in part, "It’s hard to leave what have become my second family, but now it’s time for me to take care and spend more time with the most important people in my life – my wife and my three daughters." His replacement has not been named as of yet.
