Every time you swipe that credit card, you inch closer and closer into debt. Where do you think your fellow neighbor ranks on the debt scale? According to Lending Tree, pretty high. In fact, Coloradans have the highest debt per capita in the entire country.
The per capita debt for a Colorado resident sits at $50,010. 91% of those that have credit card debt are averaging a balance of $4,033. 42% have a mortgage debt of $126,547, 39% auto debt of $12,110. 22% have student loan debt averaging $28,690 and the lowest percentage of debt held in the state at 6% are personal unsecured loans averaging $9,006.
