Historic Grand Junction Stops on the Road to Presidency

With the 2012 Presidential campaigns only hours from coming to a close, and American's wits even closer to coming to an end, it seems appropriate to look back on the good ol' days when candidates visited Western Colorado in order to be face to face with their fellow Americans.

Truman visited Grand Junction on a railroad car campaign trip, before heading off to his next stop in  Utah.

Eisenhower visited Grand Junction at the present location of Grand Junction Regional Airport.

The Reagans made a stop on Horizon Drive in Grand Junction on a campaign visit.

George Bush and the First Lady paid Western Colorado a visit, stopping to speak at Town Hall.
