Take a Ride on Highway 50 in Orchard Mesa Before + After Construction

The Orchard Mesa section of Highway 50 has come a long way in the last few months. Take a little drive and see a "before and after" comparison of the same stretch of road.

Here's a look at the westbound lane of the highway setting out from 27 Road on Orchard Mesa. The first video was shot on March 22, 2016, the second shot on August 22, 2016.

For the purpose of this comparison, I drove down the same stretch of road, same lane, exact same time of day, and same speed (even though it seems I might be speeding in the second video).

As an Orchard Mesa lifer, I can honestly say I DIG this new road. Smoooooooottthhhhh. Driving to work in the morning is like coasting on the soft pillowy surface of a cloud.

Kudos to all the hardworking crews who've been bustin' buns on this project.
