In honor of Labor Day, let's take a look back at 40 years worth of Robert Grant photos of Grand Junction residents hard at work.

Today's video features Grand Valley residents bustin' their buns at everything from construction, firefighting, canning tomatoes, to working the rails.

Bob Grant worked as the Chief Photographer at the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel from the early 1940s (minus a few years for World War II) to the mid-1980s.

Okay, I fully admit I've recycled a few photos from previous videos. Some of them warrant being used again.

Take a look at the video. If you've lived in the valley for long, you'll no doubt recognize several of the sites. Chances are you might recognize some of the people in the photos.

Here's to you, hard working Grand Junction. Take a moment this Labor Day to celebrate dedicated workers like yourself.

Here's an encore of the first "Hard Working Colorado" video featuring Bob Grant photos.
