Greeley Man Stabbed at Skate Park Over Facebook Dispute
A Greeley man has been charged with a felony after police say he pulled a knife and stabbed another man at the Centennial Skate Park.
Police say, Devon Dickson, 23, and Brett Tovar, 29, got into a verbal altercation at Centennial Skate Park in Greeley after they were trash-talking on Facebook. Police say Dickson showed up to the skate park Wednesday night with his child, who he took out of the car and set on the ground.
Dickson found Tovar and began swinging at him as soon as he was close enough. Tovar jumped on Dickson, tackling him to the ground and putting him in a headlock.
Once the men got back to their feet, police say Dickson pulled out a knife and stabbed Tovar.
Dickson was located and arrested at North Colorado Medical Center where he was being treated for a shoulder injury. The Greeley Tribune is reporting that Dickson faces charges including first-degree assault, aggravated robbery, menacing and theft.
