For the next two Saturdays, the Grand Mesa Visitor Center is planning events geared towards the entire family.

This Saturday (August 3), the Grand Mesa Visitor Center will host a Kids Nature Activity Night from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the visitor center, 2250 Highway 50 in Delta. Kids of all ages are invited to join in a variety of nature games and crafts, such as wildlife Olympics, leaf relays, tree ring projects, and evening nature hikes.

Next Saturday (August 10), a Forest Service fish biologist will discuss native cutthroat trout on the National Forest. Following this discussion, a presentation is scheduled on nature activities related to fish and aquatic insects.
