Grand Junction’s Favorite Old-School Video Games + Consoles
For many of us, especially those that grew up in the 80s, 90s, or later, video games were a big part of growing up. A certain era grew up hanging out in arcades playing Galaga and Pac-Man, while others were fortunate enough to have a home gaming system of their own.
Curious, I posted a couple of questions on Facebook, one asking what your favorite old-school video games are and another inquiring what your favorite gaming console was, and got all kinds of great, nostalgic responses.

Seeing all of the old-school video game responses really brought some fun nostalgia my way. Responses varied from arcade games like Galaga and Centipede, to old-school Atari games, to the greats of the 90s and beyond.
For me, personally, Super Nintendo was not only the first gaming system that my family ever owned, but also how I spent a considerable amount of my time indoors as a kid. Many of the games mentioned were classic Super Nintendo games such as Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, and Dr. Mario, to name a few.
Following the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis gaming systems, we were introduced to systems like Playstation, Nintendo 64, and Xbox, of which many classic games were mentioned.
