The Art Center in Grand Junction encourages all artists to showcase their works in an open exhibition supporting diversity and equality. This event is open to all mediums.

Are you an aspiring artist? Would you enjoy a chance to get your work in front of the public? For that matter, are you interested in a chance to generate revenue from your artwork? This exhibition is open to anyone with a desire to participate.

Each participant will have the opportunity to display two works. Submitted artworks will remain on display from August 7, 2020 to August 29, 2020. All artwork must be submitted by August 3. A non-refundable entry fee of $5 per artwork must be paid by credit card. A reception is tentatively scheduled for August 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

What must one do before entering an artwork? All works must be securely mounted and ready for display. If a work requires hanging, appropriate wiring or cleats and hardware must be provided. The Art Center reserves the right to install selected artwork in any manner deemed necessary for exhibition or security reasons, and to refuse display of any unsuitable artwork.

So, how exactly will an artist make money with this event? The Art Center will retain a 30% commission on all artworks sold by the gallery during the exhibition. The Art Center will take care of collecting sales tax and making payments to the appropriate agencies. Sales will be reconciled at the end of the exhibition.

Speaking as someone who has recently moved and has an interest in acquiring artworks, this sounds like the perfect opportunity to score a few great deals. My walls are bare and in need of some sprucing up. What better way to decorate the house?

If you're an up-and-coming artist, this might be the very opportunity you've been searching for. The registration fee of $5 per work is nominal. This is a chance to display your work at what is really a prime-time venue. In addition, your work will be on display and in front of the public for the better part of a month. You might be wise to jump on this opportunity.
